OtterFi Documentation
Everything you need to run a token-gated community on Telegram or Discord - from your first setup to how OtterFi protects your members' wallets.
What is OtterFi
OtterFi is a two-product platform for communities built around a token or NFT: Verify controls who gets access based on real, on-chain ownership, and Notify keeps everyone informed with real-time marketplace activity. Most communities run both together - Verify decides who's in, Notify keeps them engaged once they are.
Both products run natively inside Telegram and Discord. There is no separate app to install and no dashboard members need to learn - everything happens through the platform your community already lives in.
Why OtterFi
Community owners choose OtterFi to remove the parts of running a gated community that don't scale:
- No manual role management. Access is granted and removed automatically as wallet ownership changes - nobody has to manually check holdings or chase members who sold their token.
- No custody, ever. Members prove ownership of their wallet; OtterFi never holds, moves, or has the ability to move their funds. See Security.
- Members stay informed automatically. Sales, listings, floor movement, and mints get delivered the moment they happen, without an admin posting anything by hand.
Products Overview
Verify
Verify gates access to a Telegram group or Discord role/channel behind real wallet ownership - hold a specific NFT, or a minimum balance of a token, and you're in. Access is re-checked automatically over time, and with Live Membership enabled, a qualifying purchase or sale updates access within minutes instead of waiting for the next scheduled check. Read the full Verify documentation.
Notify
Notify watches one NFT collection and delivers real-time sales, listings, and floor-price activity into your Telegram group or Discord channel, plus an optional pinned dashboard that stays live-updated. Read the full Notify documentation.
Supported Platforms
Both products run as native bots on Telegram and Discord. Wherever a step in this documentation involves connecting or proving ownership of a wallet, that step happens in a browser - it works the same whether that browser is on desktop or mobile.
Supported Chains
OtterFi currently supports four chains for both Verify and Notify:
| Chain | Native token |
|---|---|
| Robinhood Chain | ETH |
| Base | ETH |
| Ethereum | ETH |
| Polygon | POL |
Coming Soon
Solana support is planned. See the full roadmap for what's coming.
