General

What is OtterFi?

OtterFi is a platform that helps communities automatically control access based on token and NFT ownership while keeping members informed with real-time marketplace activity.

Is OtterFi free?

OtterFi is free to get started, and paid Starter, Pro, and Premium tiers are available today with higher limits and extra capabilities. Upgrade any time using the bot's own /upgrade command - see Pricing for what's included at each tier.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. OtterFi is designed for community owners, not developers. Everything is configured directly through Telegram or Discord.

Do I have to use both Verify and Notify?

No - they're independent products. Many communities run both, but each works fully on its own.

Billing & Plans

What plans are available?

Free, Starter, Pro, and Premium - for both Verify and Notify, on Telegram and Discord independently. See Pricing for the full comparison.

What's included in each tier?

Real limits and features - things like how many collections or communities you can track, re-verification speed, Live Membership, Solana support, and custom branding. See Pricing for the exact current entitlements on every tier, or Billing & Plans for what each of those actually means.

Are Telegram and Discord priced separately?

Yes - each platform has its own independent plan. A community could run Notify Pro on Telegram and Notify Free on Discord at the same time.

How much does each plan cost?

See Pricing for the full, live price list - it's read directly from the same production data every purchase actually uses, so it's never out of date here.

Are prices monthly?

Yes - every paid tier's price is a monthly price, shown on Pricing as "amount / month." There's no annual option and no other billing period today.

Which payment networks are supported?

Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum One, Ink, and ApeChain, or Solana. Each network is an independent quote for the exact same tier price - never a discount for choosing one over another.

Where do I actually purchase a plan?

Directly through the bot's own /upgrade command, with your own wallet - there's no checkout on the website yet. See Billing & Plans for exactly how payment works.

Can I upgrade?

Yes, any time, using /upgrade in Telegram or Discord.

What happens when I change plans?

The change takes effect immediately once payment is confirmed - a new one-month period starts right away, and any time remaining on the previous plan isn't credited or carried over. There's no proration. See Upgrading & Downgrading for the full details.

What happens to my existing configuration when I change plans?

Nothing is deleted or reset - your tracked collections, communities, Access Policies, and branding all stay exactly as configured. Capabilities tied to a higher tier simply stop applying going forward, and re-upgrading restores them immediately.

What happens when a subscription ends?

If a paid plan isn't renewed, the account automatically reverts to the Free tier when the period ends - no action needed.

How do I cancel?

There's no self-service cancel button today - cancelling a paid plan means contacting support, and it's processed on our side. Once done, it takes effect immediately, not at the end of the current period.

Platforms & Chains

Which platforms are supported?

Telegram and Discord, for both products.

Does Notify work on X?

Notify can deliver Sale and Mint alerts to your own connected X account, across every chain we support including Solana. This is a custom setup, not a standard, self-service option - reach us on X to set it up.

Which blockchains are supported?

Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum One, Ink, and ApeChain today - the same set for both Verify and Notify. Solana is also supported - real-time monitoring (Notify) and wallet/NFT ownership verification (Verify), included on Pro and Premium. See the roadmap for what's next.

Wallets & Security

Is it safe to connect my wallet?

Yes - OtterFi never takes custody of funds and never has the ability to move anything out of your wallet. At no point does OtterFi gain access to your funds. See Security for exactly how both verification methods work.

What if I don't want to connect my wallet?

Both verification methods securely prove wallet ownership. Choose whichever you're most comfortable using.

Does OtterFi ever store my private key?

No, never. See Security for exactly what is and isn't stored.

Communities

Can one wallet be used in multiple communities?

Yes - a wallet is checked independently against every community's own Access Policy.

Can I change my verification requirements later?

Yes, at any time - editing your Access Policy applies to every future check immediately.

Can I change the tracked collection later?

Yes, from Notify's settings, without repeating the rest of setup.

What happens if someone sells their NFT?

Access is removed automatically - immediately with Live Membership enabled, or on the next scheduled check otherwise.

How long does verification usually take?

The first check happens immediately once a member proves ownership.

Can I pause my community without deleting it?

Yes - pausing preserves your entire configuration; resuming continues right where it left off.

Can I use both Telegram and Discord for the same project?

Yes - each platform is configured independently, even for the same collection or community.

Can I move OtterFi to a different server or group later?

Each setup is tied to the group or server it was created in - moving means running setup again in the new one.
